The research

From endurance
to evidence.

The running is where the question began: what can sustained endurance participation tell us about successful ageing?
The Multi-Marathon Study at Trinity College Dublin examines participation, psychology, mental health, cognition and physiology in a distinctive international endurance population, then brings those strands together around ageing well.
The connecting idea
Running is not separate from the research. It is where the question began.
ENDURANCE

Hundreds of starts. Hundreds of finishes.

A long view of participation, community, travel, persistence and performance.

RESEARCH

Turn lived experience into testable questions.

International cohorts, cognition, physiology and psychological measures.

IMPACT

Ask what helps people stay active for life.

Evidence that can contribute to conversations about health, participation and successful ageing.
